Would you participate in "Largest Simultaneous Dog Stay" at an Argos Game?
We have been given the opportunity to demonstrate our Largest Simultaneous Dog Stay during half time at the Toronto Argonauts Football Game on Saturday Nov. 7th, 2009 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. We need to have a minimum of 100 dogs participating. It doesn't matter if your dog actually stays or not. The purpose of this is to practise for next year. I am quite certain, we will WOW the crowd and that next year the Argos will really want us back to go for the World Record.
If we get enough dogs this year, the media attention we will generate could lead to a lot of other opportunities. There are many reasons why I think this event is good for us committed dog lovers. Tops on my list is showcasing the benefits of proper training. A properly trained dog is less likely to ever need to be re-homed, which leads me to the second reason why I think this event is important. It gives us the opportunity to promote our charity Helping Homeless Pets and the good work that members of our organization do.
We have over 20 pet rescues all working together so we can help more pets.
We will be attending the game as the Group Helping Homeless Pets. So I hope you will join us for this very special occasion to practise the Stay, have some fun and help some homeless pets too!!
Details
Montreal Alouettes vs. Toronto Argonauts
Date: Sat. Nov. 7, 2009 Game Time: 1:00 pm
Location:
Rogers Centre
1 Blue Jays Way
Toronto, ON M5V 1J1
The ticket price to get into the game and participate will be $22.00 (this include taxes, regular price is $32.00). We will have our own section at the game, so we can all watch the game together. Just before half time we will line up and then go onto the field and demonstrate the Stay. The actual time for the Stay will be about 1 minute. This is a demonstration only.
I would like to have 1 handler for each dog, so if you have 2 or more dogs, please bring family or friends to handle them.
Please complete this survey by Wed. Sep. 9th, 2009. Soon after, I will notify each of you by email, if the event is a go. We need a minimum of 100 participants at that time to proceed. If the event is going to go ahead, I will send you payment instructions at that time. My goal is to have 200 dogs participating and if we can make that number, it will really be something to see. We also need people to come out and support us even if they don't have a dog, so be sure to bring a spouse, a partner, a family member or a friend. Also, dogs are welcome to come out for the game even if you don't go onto the field and try the stay. This event is part of Argos Dog Day. Get all of your friends to register and join us for the Fun!!
