The Ferret Aid Society
works in conjunction
with other local animal welfare agencies. Abused and abandoned ferrets
surrendered to local animal control are in turn surrendered to us.
Typically, FAS receives animals that were once family pets but are now
unwanted, sick or elderly. It also receives ferrets from unscrupulous
“backyard breeders”. These animals are housed and fed while they undergo
medical assessment, treatment and/or rehabilitation while awaiting
adoption.
FAS is a humane, no-kill shelter run on a volunteer basis with no paid employees. Since 1994, The Ferret Aid Society has been a registered Canadian Charity answering the call of ferrets in need within Ontario and beyond. Please visit our website at www.ferretaid.org
