Southern Ontario Sheltie Rescue

Southern Ontario Sheltie Rescue is a non-profit group of volunteers in southern Ontario who take in homeless shelties and find them new places to live. The dogs come into our care from shelters, veterinarians clinics, other rescue organizations, or from people who can longer keep their pet. We sometimes get dogs who have lived in abusive and inhumane situations who need special care. All dogs who come into our care are given basic vet care as needed, are neutered/spayed and kept up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm preventives. We take them into foster care for a minimum of 1-2 weeks, in order to do basic assessment, all the while providing them with food, companionship and TLC. They are then available for adoption to a fully screened home that matches their needs and where they best fit in to a new family's lifestyle.
