Southern Ontario
Border Collie Rescue |
The mission of
Southern Ontario
Border Collie Rescue
is
to assist adoptable Border Collies that need rehoming by finding them
appropriate adopters willing to make a lifelong commitment to their
needs. We also try to help Border Collie owners who need assistance
understanding what is and what is not "normal" Border Collie behaviour,
and how they might shape herding instinct into something they can live
with and enjoy, through training and appropriate activities. We undertake to ensure that all Border Collies rehomed through SOBCR have had a recent medical checkup by a Veterinarian, that they are current on their immunizations and we can provide records of recent shots, and that they are altered prior to adoption. Any health or behavioural issues that are identified will be addressed and documented, so that there is less chance of post-adoption surprises. Adopters must sign a contract, and if at any time they are unable to continue to keep or care for their adopted dog, they must contact Southern Ontario Border Collie Rescue immediately, and not sell it, leave with or give the dog away to another party, or surrender it to a Shelter.
